The video “Αθήνα” is the recording of a body that competes with the voracious energy of the city. It dances with it on a hot night, on the pavement and underground passages of Suggrou. The avenue that connects the Acropolis with the sea. All around the thick asphalt the cement city and refugee suburbs spill (refers to Minor Asia crisis of 22). The speeding cars, the night clubs, prostitution and the police compose this semitransparent canvas on which the body throbs, rotates and rocks.
Haris Savopoulos has studied in the merchant navy academy and photography in AKTO. His main interest in video and photo composition. His first contribution to Civil Disobedience was back in 2011!
Adonis Vais is a Greek National Dance school graduate, he has collaborated with numerous dance companies in Greece and Europe like Dimitris Papaioannou, Dorit Weintal/Dansmakers Amsterdam and Sasha Waltz & Guests.
